Week 37 - "An eye for an eye"

February 25, 2019

Hello hello <3
Man this week was over in a blink of an eye. There is nothing better than being busy and boy is the Lord keeping us busy. This week we had 3 exchanges and that always calls for a good time + all the amazing people God has trusted us to work with. It was funny cause yesterday in relief socitey we were talking about the Lord hastening his work and how it is going to feel like, "Just keep up" and that is how we feel and it feels so great!!

HIGHLIGHTS & UPDATES
Megan- She is officially the cutest human and when I come home I think I'll just bring her with. At our Relief Society sewing activity this week she just said, "After your mission, can we like still be friends?!" DUHHHH!!!  Anyway this week we were finally able to have a lesson with her and because of the strong spirit we set a date for March 23, which she gladly accepted. My favorite thing about Megan is she is so humble and is willing to do exactly what the Lord wants her to do.

Rodriguez Fam- They all attended church again for the 2nd week in a row. We made a really big leap with Carlos. He has committed to attend the Positive Change Support Group (ARP) so that he can give up his bad habits to prepare to enter the waters of baptism. THIS IS SUCH A BIG STEP FOR THEM!!

Victoria- She is our dear friend with the sweetest heart. We started teaching her a couple weeks ago when we decided to randomly stop by. She loved the message we had to offer and wanted to learn more which lead her to coming to our relief society activity and coming to church this past week. She loved it and felt so welcomed. The lord is aware of each of his children and knows exactly what they need.

Scott and Rick- Scott is someone who thought he was baptized in the Ashford ward but wasn't and he invited his friend Rick to join us. Rick has been reading the Book of Mormon daily and carries it with him everywhere he goes because without it he feels lost. This week we were able to set a baptismal date with Scott for May 18!

Steve- We randomly got a call from someone yesterday and he said, "I would like a BOook of Mormon and few other materials, When could we meet?" Turns out he had met with missionaries about 10 years ago and last night we went over and taught him a very unique restoration which he really enjoyed and really recognized us as servants of the Lord and invited us back.

EXCHANGE MIRACLES
Real quick because we always see so many.
- My testimony was strengthened on the timing of the Lord, it is perfect. We went to go see someone name Cliff and right when we showed up he was hoping out of his car. If we would have been any earlier, he would have been gone, any later he would have been taking a nap. Cliff enjoyed our message and attended church in another area yesterday.
- I was a Hermana for the day and may have felt like i was not in the United States but it was such a good time, as we were cruising around with the windows down, i was waving at everyone and smiling and all of a sudden people start yelling, "IT'S A ONE WAY!!" needless to say the GPS took us down a busy one way road but the Lord protects his missionaries (;

So now that you are all wondering about my subject line, this week at the sewing activity we were making dresses for girls around the world and as I was using the sewing machine, the needle broke and fragments shot into my eye!!! But I didn't go blind so that's good news (; I just like to make things dangerous lol. That's the conclusion we came to(;

SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS
This week I was reading in the New Testament in Matthew 8 and Jesus Christ is performing a lot of miracles and ministering to the sick and afflicted and a centurion comes and asks him to heal someone with palsy and Christs response is..
"And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him."
Christ didn't think twice. He just went. He knew that others were in need of his help, in need of his strength, and in need of his healing power.
That is the same in our life, Christ is there at all times to heal us. He knows who we are, he knows what we need, and he knows exactly how to come and heal us. I know Christ lives and he has a lasting effect in each of our lives.

Keep killin it out there in the world!
