Week 29 -Joy to the World

December 24, 2018

To say I love being a missionary is an understatement, THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN FURTHERING GOD'S WORK!!<3 This week was definitely a week that I will never forget. Since everyone is busy with the Christmas hustle & bustle I will keep it to the small and simple miracles.... try to anyway but I usually get carried away (;
To begin this week I gave up sweets (for John) and only listened to the Mormon tabernacle choir and let me tell Ya, sacarfice brings forth blessings!!

1. We had a reslly cool expiernece with a guy named Bert this week. A couple months ago we tracted into him and he told us he would read the Book Of Mormon and give us a call and tell us what he thought about it. We never heard back from him, and for a while now we've wanted to go back and see him but it never felt right. Well the other night we went and stopped by and he let us right in!! He read half of the Book of Mormon and that night we showed up he was actually researching religion... We had a solid hour talk, he invited us back, but unfortunately his heart has been hardened again and he doesn't understand that God is trying to help him find the Truth.
2. We started teaching a gal name Michelle this week, we were walking down the street and we stopped and talked to her and gave her our card and continued walking cause she was on the phone. Well then we were tracting and we decided to tract this house and go to the very top level that had about 50 stairs to climb and it was that same lady.. MICHELLE!! Shes going through a hard time and was praying that she would fund strength and then we knocked on her door, she now texts us and reminds us that we have an appt with her Wednesday!
3. Gettin sick of all these yet? Well the other day we felt prompted to stop by someone and we knocked on her door and she immediately let us in, she opened up to us and we taught her the whole restoration!! She even told us she's been praying for us to come and when she heard the knock at the door and looked out the door and didn't see a car she thought to herself "it's gotta be those 2 girls". We gave her a Book of Mormon and she was so excited to start reading it!
4. John is still doing great! He has gone 10 days without Coffee and the other day he text us and said read "Alma 7:14, this is my escape goat for baptism" he wants it so bad and is it working at it! He will be very blessed!
5. Brother Kennedy is still sober and was able to come to church yesterday and got to partake of the sacrament and the spirit was so overwhelming. You could see the happiness in his eyes!! He was glowing!! How blessed are we that we get to renew our covenant every week?!

Okay I saved my favorite part of the week for last! We've been working with a returning less active and she invited us over to her Christmas party! We showed up and there was not another member there! The coolest part was everyone there came up to us and was asking us questions! Then before we left we asked Jeanette if we could share a message and she said "let's go see" so we walk into the room and she tells everyone to shut up and they pulled up the video on the big screen tv and everyone gathered around and watched it, we bore testimony and the spirit filled the room.

I know that Jesus is the Christ and he came here for me and for you. We are so blessed to celebrate his life this beautiful Christmas season. MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM NEW ENGLAND FOLKS!!
Love you all.
